About Elevator Planner: A Personal Tool for Professional Mechanics

Before you read these Terms, it's important to understand what Elevator Planner is - and what it is not.

What Elevator Planner Is

Elevator Planner is a personal productivity tool designed by a working mechanic, for working mechanics. It helps you:

What Elevator Planner Is NOT

Understanding "Company" and "Team" in This Application

Throughout these Terms and the application, you'll see references to "Companies" and "Teams". These terms can be confusing, so let's clarify:

Company (in Elevator Planner) ≠ Your Employer

A "Company" in Elevator Planner is a collaboration group that YOU and your colleagues create to share work information with each other. It is NOT:

Example:

If you work for "Some Elevator Corporation", you and your colleagues can create a "SOMEELEVATOR" group as "Company" in the app to share route information and maintenance records with each other. But "Some Elevator Corporation" (the actual company) has NO access to this group, doesn't control it, doesn't track you by it, doesn't pay for it, and doesn't even know it exists unless you tell them.

Team (Collaboration Without License Verification)

A "Team" is a collaboration group similar to "Company", but with key differences:

Purpose:

Key Difference from Company:

When to Use Team:

Your Rights and Privacy

Built By Mechanics, For Mechanics

Elevator Planner was created by a working elevator mechanic who understands the challenges of managing complex routes, tracking equipment across multiple buildings, and coordinating with colleagues. This tool exists to make YOUR work life easier - not to make it easier for companies to monitor or manage you.

Now, let's get to the formal Terms of Service:

Work Records (Shared with Company/Team)

What are Work Records?

Work Records Ownership:

Industry Standard Practice:

Personal Notes (Private to You Only)

What are Personal Notes?

Personal Notes Ownership:

6.2 Your Choice What to Share
